Op. 2 – Sonata for Cello and Piano

I offer the first movement of a work which was originally twice again as long. This movement, composed within the space of a week in Dec. 1979, is the most thoroughly neo-classical work I've written. It is full of fugal counterpoint and jazzy syncopations, and finishes with a pizzicato walking bass.
